Computer Aided Drafting/Design MDS is a multi-discipline drafting service. Our software of choice is AutoCAD. To further enhance our products we also use Architectural Desktop, Softdesk, Quickpen Pipe Designer 3D, Mech-Q and our own proprietary software. Coordination Drawings In the marketplace where buildings are getting more complex and schedules are fast track, coordination is essential. Our diverse group of designers and drafters work with multi-discipline skills enabling us to coordinate all trades. When engineering firms work with limited budgets their drawings become diagrammatic. It then becomes the responsibility of the contractors to provide shop drawings to make sure the interpretation of engineers' intent is correct. To ensure your project goes together flawlessly we detail to your shop standards and your submittals. We research specifications and P&ID's to ensure that all trim items, controls, instrumentation connections, etc. that normally aren't shown are all accounted for. As discrepancies and questions occur we document thru the RFI (Request For Information) process. Our shop drawings consist of plans, sections and details to clearly show installation and fabrication requirements. Material Isometrics System isometrics can be generated with Bill of Materials, spool mark numbers, location of field welds, etc. They are useful for material purchasing, double checking you bid, tracking fabrication and installation progress, tracking and signoff of hydro and pneumatic testing. They are also a great tool for installation and fabrication. Fabrication Drawings If its spool drawings, tanks, vessels, supports, etc., we detail with the fabricator in mind. We understand that poor drafting practices and incomplete drawings cost you money. In addition to following your standards and specifications we follow our own stringent in-house standards. Tool Hook-up Drawings Depending on the level of detail you require we can provide diagrammatic drawings up thru coordinated shop drawings. We have extensive experience in this arena. On-Site AsBuilts If its existing conditions you need verified for point of connections, coordination or verification of new installation, we have the tools and personnel to provide accurate asbuilts. On-Site Drafting Support With today's technology we continue to successfully complete projects remotely. We also understand that some projects require that you have on-site drafting support. We can mobilize drafters/designers to meet your project requirements.  Project Management Do you need extra help with document control, maybe a liaison between field and office or office and engineers, a troubleshooter in the field to help solve coordination issues as they occur.
